THE BLUE BACH
This
fully furnished family bach comfortably sleeps 7 and is only
two minutes walk from the beach.
It is on a lovely section with lots of shady spots in the back garden
and mature trees for the kids to climb.
As well as the main house, there is a sleepout which has
a single bed. However, there is no electricity in the sleepout.
The bach is self-catering, and is not serviced.
You need to take your own linen (sheets, pillow cases and towels),
but duvets, pillows and blankets are provided.
Waiterere has a well-stocked general store, with off-license,
open from 7am to 7pm daily, as well as a café and a takeaway
shop.
The beach is patrolled in summer near the Surf Lifesaving Club,
and there is a shipwreck (the Hydrabad) about 3 kms south of the club.
The beach can be driven along (30 km speed limit)
so care should be taken.
